Pingee checks that your website is reachable every five minutes and emails you when it goes down, and again when it comes back.
Every five minutes Pingee requests your website’s address the way a visitor would. It follows redirects, expects a normal successful response, and records how long that took. If the site cannot be reached, returns an error or times out, Pingee checks again a minute later.
To avoid false alarms, Pingee only alerts after two failed checks in a row. You then get an email explaining what failed, the likely impact and a sensible next step. When the site is back, you get a recovery email, and the incident is closed in your dashboard.
Website offline. “We couldn’t reach your website in two consecutive checks (connection timed out). Ask your hosting provider or website developer to investigate, and check recent changes to your DNS or hosting plan.”
Uptime monitoring is included in every plan, from Starter at £5 a month for one website. Plus covers up to five websites and Business up to ten. See pricing for exactly what each plan includes.
Checks run every five minutes, and an alert is sent after two failed checks in a row, so allow for a few minutes before you are told.
The free website checker gives you a one-off availability, SSL and basic email check with no card required.
Our guide My website is down: what to check first walks through it step by step.
Add your website in a few minutes and Pingee takes it from there.
